About the Bonus Bonds wind-up
From 7pm on 25 August 2020, ANZ Investment Services (New Zealand) Ltd stopped accepting new investment into the Bonus Bonds Scheme. ANZ Investment Services (New Zealand) Limited, the Manager and Trustees Executors Limited, the Supervisor, confirm that wind-up of the Scheme commenced from 9pm on 31 October 2020 and the money from bondholders is now locked in to be distributed as part of the wind-up.
Information on the distribution of funds
We expect to make a payment of $1.10 per Bonus Bond in December to domestic New Zealand accounts. The timing for international payments is still being determined and customers who have provided an international bank account for payment will be advised when this is known. An additional small payment may be made at a later date when the wind-up is finalised, if there are any remaining funds to be distributed.
To enable these payments to be made, from late June 2021 we’ll be attempting to get in touch with all bondholders to collect payment instructions. We’ll send emails or letters where we have up to date contact details, and have an advertising campaign to reach those bondholders that we can’t contact directly. These communications will be spread out over a number of months.
Bondholders will be asked to provide their payment instructions in a number of different ways (for example via an online form or calling our contact centre) depending on their situation. In some cases, bondholders may be asked to come into branch to fulfil identification requirements.
